Steamboat Ornaments
These are my favorite ornaments to make. I started calling them “Steamboats” because the fan shapes and ornamental dots reminded me of the decorative trim on old riverboats.
I traced them from an 1895 Tubbs & Co. specimen book. Small sizes are optically corrected by adding a half point of stroke to replace the detail lost to the side heat of the laser beam.
