This design is inspired by metal ornaments originally made by ATF. I asked my grandma (the resident gardening expert in my life) what flower they looked like, and without hesitation she said asters. That felt serendipitous, since aster shares its root with asterisk, the Greek word for “star,” a fitting typographic link.
